Game Overview:

Knight of the Forgotten Realm is a 2.5D side-scroller action adventure game set in a war torn-land. After an unprecedented attack on the Eyes of Humanity, a god-like being known as an Eternal saves your life. In return, you must venture into forbidden territory to uncover lost knowledge crucial to the realm. Will you survive the Eternal's call?

Knight of the Forgotten Realm features a visceral combo based combat system that is easy to learn, but hard to master. On your journey, you'll be able to discover history lost to decades of war, unlock numerous abilities, and encounter bosses that'll challenge even the most decorated knight.

As Helthurius Games first commercial title, Knight of the Forgotten Realm provides a blueprint for a bigger title planned in the future. Your participation in the 4 planned Alpha tests, and most importantly the feedback you provide, is important and greatly appreciated. Every bit of feedback I've gotten for Knight of the Forgotten Realm has been beneficial to it's evolution and yours will be too.

Alpha Schedule:

Alpha 1: The Forbidden Forest - 3/17/2021

The Forbidden Forest includes 5-10 minutes of gameplay, two zones, one boss, and two abilities to choose from. Alpha 1 was released to gather feedback on the foundation of the game so far.

*This alpha is no longer available to download as significant changes have been made to the game.

Alpha 2: The Realm Beyond - 10/23/2021

The Realm Beyond will feature an opening cinematic, combat V2, soul charge system, soul shatter system, overcharge system, three levels (new tutorial, overhauled Abandoned Forest and enhanced Abandoned Mine), and one boss. Roughly 15 minutes worth of gameplay.

GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 4GB Video Card (or AMD equivalent)

RAM - 8 GB DDR3

Storage - 7200 RPM HDD with 4.5 GB available

Recommended System Requirements:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core 4.4 GHz (or Intel equivalent)

GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 8GB Video Card (or AMD equivalent)

RAM - 16 GB DDR4 

Storage - SSD with 4.5 GB available

Note: The specs stated above and the range in-between has been tested. However, the game could potentially work on specs lower than the minimum. The goal of Helthurius Games is to optimize Knight of the Forgotten Realm even further, so any feedback as to how the game ran on your configuration is helpful.
